Client: Radana

Hypertension affects 1.3 billion people worldwide, yet less than one in five have it under control. Radana developed contactless vital monitoring technology to eliminate painful physical cuffs and save over £62 million annually in UK clinics alone. They needed a definitive visual strategy to take their novel sensor capabilities out of the lab.
Not another uncomfortable clinical cuff, an effortless, invisible safeguard for cardiovascular health.
Traditional cuff-based tracking is inherently disruptive, causing patient irritation and ruining sleep patterns. Consumer wearables face a similar friction point, with one in three users abandoning tracking solutions within six months. True passive monitoring must disappear entirely into the background to keep patients engaged.
Taking the physical burden completely out of patient compliance.

Filament partnered with Radana to establish a comprehensive visual design language and shape a non-invasive, wireless solution. We focused on mapping out form factors that could fluidly adapt across multiple scenarios, including high-pressure clinical settings, quiet hospital bedside wards, and domestic homes.
Turning advanced sensor technology into credible product concept.
The breakthrough was a freestanding or wall-mounted physical unit that monitors key vitals entirely passively. Angled directly at the user’s chest, the device scans blood pressure and heart rate without a single point of physical contact, displaying instant telemetry on a clean, glanceable onboard screen.
Immediate vital clarity without a single touch

Filament's high-fidelity visualization suite transformed Radana’s technical proposition into a tangible product roadmap. This strategic framework successfully proved their commercial and clinical readiness, directly accelerating Radana’s progress toward procuring vital new investment funding.
Securing the commercial backing to change how the world tracks vitals.
