Powering the future of transportable EV fast-charging
Client: Tual
Status: Prototype Delivered
Year: 2024

Tual needed to house a massive, rugged battery storage unit capable of surviving the rigors of the field. The uncompromising brief demanded a forkliftable, weatherproof enclosure featuring an integrated crash barrier and 1.2-tonne load support—all engineered inside an incredibly tight two-month window.
Not another static plug, but a mobile powerbank engineered for heavy-duty deployment.
Industrial energy gear usually prioritizes basic utility, resulting in sterile "black boxes" that lack brand presence. Tual needed a distinct visual design language that communicated reliability and scale, balancing extreme structural integrity with an accessible form that felt like a premium commercial product.
If the infrastructure looks like an anonymous experiment, category trust is lost.

Filament engineered a robust yet lightweight sheet metal enclosure that established the primary design language for Tual’s entire future product family. We produced detailed CAD models and production drawings, ensuring every weld and fold maximised safety, accessibility, and structural field performance.
Translating heavy-duty industrial constraints into a cohesive, scalable product family.
We integrated a structural crash barrier and immense load support directly into a highly refined sheet metal architecture. This proved that heavy-duty infrastructure could be transportable and aesthetically premium, shifting a complex engineering challenge into a scalable, market-ready asset.
Compressing a massive industrial hardware timeline into a rapid eight-week launch.

Filament delivered a comprehensive launch package, spanning prototype-ready enclosures, premium visual identity systems, and high-quality product visualisations. What began as an unrefined trail component is now a scalable fast-charging solution that is durable, safe, and unmistakably Tual.
From an unhoused engineering trial to an authoritative product line ready for market.
